About Us
Our Philosophy
We're inspired by one of JFK's famous lines: "The ignorance of one voter in a democracy impairs the security of all". In a free society, it's our fundamental duty to transcend our biases and seek information diligently before we cast our vote. With only a few weeks to go until Election Day, we believe the technology we’ve built can be useful in educating voters on policies that matter to them and their families. We're inspired by the dynamic of public debates among presidential candidates and aim to recreate that experience, allowing every voter to become a moderator and pose questions that truly matter to them. Through AMA.fyi, we strive to illuminate candidates' stances, enabling informed voting decisions and encouraging further research beyond our platform.
Our Technology
Technology is built by humans, and humans are complex, opinionated and biased. That’s actually not a bad thing, complex opinions are what make us human! However, we’ve strived to build AMA.fyi as a non-partisan platform. The underlying knowledge of our AI system is based on thousands upon thousands of verified news articles, public comments by the presidential candidates, party manifestos and so on. The AI-generated responses by the presidential AI avatars are rooted in these credible sources, which we transparently cite for user verification. Nevertheless, we acknowledge AI's limitations - even with accurate information from credible sources, it may occasionally produce "hallucinations" or inaccuracies.
Our Team

Hi, we are a team of 3 engineers (Ishita, Rishabh and Suryansh) who have been building AI voice agents for almost a year. We’re extremely grateful for the opportunities that we’ve received since immigrating to the US ~6 years ago. From attending our dream universities at Carnegie Mellon and University of Washington to building our own startup backed by Y Combinator. As immigrants who arrived in the US about six years ago, we're profoundly grateful for the opportunities we've encountered in this country. From realizing our academic aspirations at Carnegie Mellon and the University of Washington to launching our own startup (backed by YCombinator), we are living our version of the American Dream.
